Fresh Trends To Spice Up Your Listings
One of my favorite moments is when I walk back into a recently staged listing and experience the new wow factor from the outside in. On-trend décor contributes to a powerful first impression - and a higher sales price for your listing. The latest trends this fall include:
Art Deco shapes.
Channel stitching is in. Consider using a channel back sofa or chairs to add sophistication to a living area or an upscale note to a master suite.
More curves.
In a nod to the '80s, expect to see more curves and perhaps a touch of glam. Curved seating is one way to update a dining or living area. We're also seeing more curved cabinets and accent pieces.
Cane.
Here, it's important not to go overboard. Cane is a way to add a fresh organic touch within a wood element. So, caning might be used to accent a set of dresser drawers, in a headboard, or in a chair back or seat.
Fifty shades of beige.
If you hate gray, you're in luck! While gray is still going strong, expect to see a wide range of beautiful beiges on walls and as a backdrop for the home's overarching color scheme.
Black and white.
It's not as dramatic as the overpowering black and white of the '80s. Strong geometric patterns become more subtle with the use of narrower lines woven into black and white rugs or in works of art.
